Security forces carried out a joint intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat, targeting the presence of militant elements in the region. The operation was conducted by the Police, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Pakistan Army, and local peace committees in the areas of Atashi Machankhel, Ghati Machankhel, Sarkata Machankhel, Painda Machankhel, and Dargai.
During the operation, several concealed hideouts linked to the outlawed militant group commonly referred to as the Khawarij were identified and dismantled. The security personnel recovered a cache of explosives, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs), prima cords, and other materials intended for sabotage.
