In a concerted effort to maintain law and order, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, under the directives of Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed, launched a large-scale Search and Strike Operation in Lakki Marwat. The joint action involved district police, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Al-Barq Force, Elite Force, Bomb Disposal Squad, and armoured vehicles.

According to police sources, the operation aimed to crack down on terrorists, their facilitators, criminals, absconders, drug traffickers, and anti-social elements, while also restoring a sense of security among the local population.

Checkpoints were established at key entry and exit points of the district. Vehicles, motorcycles, and individuals passing through were thoroughly screened using the Criminal Record Verification System (CRVS) for identification and background checks.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to ongoing security operations across the region to eliminate threats and provide a peaceful and safe environment for the public.
