Jaish al-Adl Confirms Death of Five Fighters in IRGC Ambush in Chabahar, Claims Retaliatory Attacks

Sunni Baloch militant group Jaish al-Adl, which operates in Iran in support of Baloch rights, has confirmed the death of five of its fighters in a recent ambush by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the port city of Chabahar.

In an official statement, the group acknowledged that the IRGC had laid a trap resulting in the deaths of its members. However, the statement also claimed that Iranian forces suffered casualties during the confrontation.

Jaish al-Adl further claimed responsibility for a separate retaliatory attack in Chabahar, where one of its fighters allegedly launched a solo assault on two vehicles belonging to Iranian security forces. The group stated that all personnel inside the vehicles were killed before the attacker was also killed in action.

The militant group described the attacker as a “martyr” who avenged the humiliation of the Baloch homeland. They emphasized that their struggle continues unabated, declaring: “We stand firm for the dignity and rights of our oppressed nation and will never retreat from our mission.”

The recent escalation marks a continuation of tensions in Iran’s southeastern Sistan-Balochistan province, where ethnic and sectarian grievances frequently result in armed clashes.
