Israeli Strike Kills IRGC Intelligence Chief and Senior Commanders in Tehran

In a grave escalation, an Israeli airstrike on Tehran has claimed the lives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Intelligence Chief, General Mohammad Kazemi, and his deputy, General Hassan Mohaqqeq, Iranian authorities confirmed on Monday. According to an official statement issued by the IRGC, the strike also resulted in the martyrdom of another senior commander, General Mohsen Baqeri. The loss of three high-ranking officers has been described by Iranian officials as a direct assault on the nation’s sovereignty and internal security.

General Kazemi, a veteran of Iran’s intelligence apparatus, was appointed as the head of the IRGC’s Intelligence Organization in 2022. Known for his strategic acumen and role in safeguarding Iran’s national interests, his assassination marks a significant development in the ongoing shadow war between Iran and Israel.

In a strongly worded statement, the IRGC condemned the attack and vowed decisive retaliation. “Supporters of the Zionist regime must realize that effective and targeted operations against Israel will continue with full force until its complete eradication,” the statement declared.

Iranian officials have widely condemned the strike as a violation of international law and a dangerous provocation aimed at destabilizing regional peace. The IRGC emphasized that these martyrdoms would not weaken Iran’s resolve, but rather strengthen its commitment to resist aggression and defend its sovereignty with unwavering determination.
