ISPR: 13 Indian-Backed Khawarij Neutralised in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

On 20-21 November 2025, 13 khawarij belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Khwarij were killed in two separate counterterrorism operations conducted by Pakistan’s Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.

The first intelligence-based operation took place in the general area of Paharkhel, Lakki Marwat District, where security forces engaged the khawarij after confirming their presence. Following an intense exchange of fire, ten terrorists were effectively neutralised.

Another operation in Dera Ismail Khan District resulted in the elimination of three additional khwarij. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who had been actively involved in multiple terrorist attacks targeting security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and civilians.

ISPR confirmed that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining elements of Indian-sponsored khawarij in the region. The military emphasised that under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s Security Forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their relentless counterterrorism campaign to eradicate foreign-backed terrorism from the country.
