Dutch counterterrorism authorities have arrested 15 individuals in nationwide raids over allegations of disseminating Islamic State (ISIS) propaganda on TikTok, with some extremist content drawing more than 100,000 views, prosecutors confirmed.
Officials said the suspects used social media to incite terrorist violence, promote ISIS ideology, and encourage recruitment, including calls to join the group and glorification of so-called “martyrdom.”
The investigation began after authorities identified a TikTok account publishing ISIS propaganda with Dutch subtitles, significantly expanding its accessibility and reach within the Netherlands.
Prosecutors warned that glorifying and distributing extremist propaganda constitutes a direct threat to public safety and is a prosecutable terrorism offence under Dutch law.
Suspect Profile and Network Scope
The detainees range in age from 16 to 53, reflecting what investigators describe as a multi-generational radicalization footprint.

Four are minors
Authorities said the charges include incitement to commit terrorist acts, dissemination of ISIS propaganda, and participation in a terrorist organization.
A separate arrest earlier in the investigation identified an individual described as the case’s “main suspect,” believed to be central to the online dissemination network.
Prosecutors indicated further arrests remain possible as digital forensics and network tracing continue.
