QUETTA – The militant group Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack in Mastung district, Balochistan, that targeted personnel of the Balochistan Constabulary (BC).
The attack occurred earlier today on Dasht Road, where a BC vehicle was hit by a remote-controlled explosive device planted in a motorcycle. According to police officials, the blast took place as the personnel were returning from duty.
The explosion resulted in the martyrdom of three constables and left two others injured.
Security forces cordoned off the area following the incident and launched a search operation. An investigation is underway.
