Iraqi Air Force Commander Calls On CJCSC, Lauds Pakistan’s Sacrifices For Regional Peace

Lieutenant General Muhannad Ghalib Mohammed Razi Al-Asadi, Commander of the Iraqi Air Force, called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters.

During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on the global and regional geo-strategic environment, with particular focus on emerging security challenges and avenues for enhanced military cooperation. They underlined that closer bilateral engagement was essential to promote peace, stability and security in the region.

The military leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expand defence and security cooperation, including training exchanges, intelligence sharing, and collaboration in counter-terrorism efforts. They agreed that stronger institutional linkages between the armed forces of Pakistan and Iraq would contribute positively to regional stability.

The Iraqi Air Force Commander lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and paid tribute to their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. He also appreciated Pakistan’s consistent efforts and contributions for the establishment of regional peace and stability.
