As Israeli airstrikes continue to batter Iranian military and nuclear installations, Iran has reportedly launched a barrage of over 100 ballistic missiles into Israeli territory, marking a major escalation in what analysts are calling the most dangerous flare-up between the two countries in recent history.
While the Israeli military confirms that its Iron Dome and other air defence systems are actively intercepting incoming missiles, explosions have already been reported in Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem, with clouds of smoke rising from multiple impact sites. Air raid sirens continue to wail across the country, and civilians have been instructed to remain in shelters until further notice.
At the same time, new and explosive reports have surfaced regarding Israeli Mossad operations deep inside Iranian territory, covert sabotage missions carried out just minutes before the onset of the airstrikes.
Mossad’s Shadow War in Iran
According to Israeli and foreign media, Mossad agents operating within Iran played a crucial role in disabling air defences and locating missile sites in advance of the aerial onslaught. These operations are said to have included:
Establishing a secret drone base near Tehran, from which drones were launched to locate and destroy surface-to-air missile systems.
Smuggling weaponized vehicles into Iran, later used to neutralise key components of Iranian air defences.
Direct targeting of anti-aircraft batteries in central Iran through on-ground precision sabotage.
In an unusual move, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) released video footage claiming to show Mossad’s real-time operations inside Iran — a move seen as both provocative and strategic in shaping global narratives.
Strikes Near Iran’s Nuclear Facilities
Iranian media, including semi-official Mehr News Agency, reported strikes near Fordow nuclear site, Khavar Air Base near Tehran, and explosions in Isfahan and Qom. The ongoing air campaign has targeted military command centres, nuclear infrastructure, and even residential areas in Tehran.
So far, 78 people have been confirmed dead with over 329 injured, according to Iranian sources.
Iran’s Missile Response
In what the Israeli military is calling an “act of war,” Iran launched dozens of surface-to-surface missiles toward Israeli cities in the early hours of Friday. While Israel claims its defence systems are intercepting most of them, the presence of multiple impact zones has raised questions about the system’s saturation point.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is expected to release an official statement shortly, with reports suggesting Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has approved broader retaliatory measures. In parallel, regional airspace has begun closing, with Türkiye suspending all flights to Iran, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq.
Pakistan’s government, meanwhile, has expressed deep concern over the safety of 5,000 Pakistani pilgrims currently in Iran, urging them to immediately contact the nearest consulate.
The Israeli media has openly credited Mossad with the success of today’s attacks, calling it “one of the most successful intelligence operations conducted on foreign soil since Entebbe.” The operation, reportedly months in the making, involved the infiltration of Mossad agents, weapons smuggling, and coordination with Israel’s Air Force.
As missiles fly, drones buzz, and spy networks are exposed, the region stands on the brink of a wider war. With both Israel and Iran now trading direct blows, and Mossad’s covert war now operating in the open, the Middle East is facing its most volatile moment in over a decade.
