Tensions between Pakistan and India escalated following a suspected false flag operation in Pahalgam, as a small group of Indian extremists staged a protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in London. However, their demonstration was quickly overshadowed by a spirited and peaceful counter-gathering of hundreds of overseas Pakistanis who rallied in strong support of Pakistan and its armed forces.
Carrying national flags and chanting slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad”, the Pakistani community sent a clear message of unity and resilience. A symbolic tea stall was also set up by the crowd, evoking memories of captured Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, in a gesture that reminded the Indian protesters of their past humiliation.
The demonstration by Indian nationals appeared to be part of a broader propaganda effort following the controversial incident in Indian-occupied Kashmir. In contrast, the Pakistani counter-gathering remained peaceful and dignified, highlighting the diaspora’s commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty through lawful and democratic means.
Observers noted that the Indian protest failed to gain traction, while the Pakistani response showcased solidarity and patriotic fervor on an international stage.
