The Quetta Corps Commander has warned that terrorist elements, acting under Indian direction, are attempting to sabotage Balochistan’s developmental projects by targeting infrastructure and undermining local progress. The statement was made during a visit to the Basima area, where the Corps Commander met with local residents, including traders, teachers, community leaders, and youth representatives.
During the engagement, local residents expressed their appreciation for the Corps Commander’s direct outreach, calling the meeting a positive step toward addressing community issues and fostering cooperation between the military and local stakeholders.
Speaking to the community, the Quetta Corps Commander emphasized that the Pakistan Army continues to work closely with civil authorities to advance ongoing development initiatives. These projects aim to improve living standards, provide essential services, and enhance the overall quality of life for the people of Balochistan.
The Corps Commander categorically rejected negative propaganda being spread by terrorist groups under foreign patronage, highlighting that these elements seek to deprive the local population of developmental benefits and destabilize peace in the region. He stressed that terrorist attempts to sabotage projects are part of a wider strategy by hostile actors to create unrest and obstruct progress.
He further stated: “Terrorists, operating under Indian sponsorship, are targeting Balochistan’s developmental projects to deprive our people of a better life. These enemy elements aim to disrupt peace and hinder the prosperity of the region. The Pakistan Army, with the support of local communities, will continue to ensure security, peace, and sustained development.”
The visit reinforced the commitment of the Pakistan Army to community engagement, highlighting the role of local cooperation in maintaining stability and safeguarding progress. Residents reaffirmed their support for military-led initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure, education, and public welfare across the province.
The Corps Commander concluded that continued collaboration between the civil administration, the security forces, and local communities is essential to counter threats, protect development projects, and ensure lasting peace and prosperity in Balochistan.
