In a brazen act of state terrorism, Indian forces launched unprovoked shelling on civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC), martyring five innocent citizens, including a newborn girl, and injuring several others in a cowardly nighttime assault. According to Dawn News, Indian troops indiscriminately bombarded the Khoi Ratta sector in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where residential neighborhoods came under direct attack. Four civilians, including a newborn, were martyred on the spot, while twelve others sustained serious injuries. In a separate incident in Bagh district, a mortar shell struck a home, killing a young man and injuring his two sisters.
The Pakistan Army responded with precise and lethal force. In Haji Pir sector, the Indian post “Jhanda Ziarat” was obliterated, inflicting severe losses on the enemy. In Pandu sector, Pakistan’s artillery units destroyed the Indian military headquarters, while in Bagsar, a hostile Indian quadcopter was intercepted and shot down. In Panag Sharif, a second drone crashed into treetops after being targeted around 3 a.m.
This escalation follows the killing of tourists in India’s Pahalgam on April 22—a tragedy India falsely blamed on Pakistan. Exploiting the incident to justify its hostility, India attacked civilian areas across the LoC under the cover of darkness between May 6 and 7, effectively declaring war through its reckless and unprovoked aggression.
Pakistan’s armed forces, upholding the nation’s dignity and sovereignty, launched a crushing counteroffensive. In the ensuing battle, Pakistan downed five Indian fighter jets, including three Rafale aircraft, and destroyed multiple enemy installations, including a brigade headquarters. At the Churha Complex, Indian troops, facing imminent defeat, hoisted white flags in surrender—a historic moment underscoring Pakistan’s military supremacy and India’s humiliation.
In an emergency session, Pakistan’s National Security Committee granted full authority to the armed forces to respond to Indian aggression with maximum force.
