Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that India is orchestrating a systematic campaign of state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistan, providing both operational support and financial backing to militant networks with the explicit aim of destabilising the country particularly Balochistan. In a hard-hitting interview with an international media outlet, the military spokesperson warned that India has institutionalised terrorism as a tool of statecraft against Pakistan. “New Delhi has adopted state-sponsored terrorism as a formal policy. This is not limited to rhetoric it is a deliberate and well-funded operation to undermine Pakistan’s internal stability, with Balochistan as a primary target,” he said.
Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif said that Pakistan, as a responsible and declared nuclear power, possesses a robust and impenetrable nuclear capability. “Our nuclear arsenal is fully secure, and no adversary has the capacity or the audacity to compromise it. This strength reflects the strategic balance in the region and our enduring commitment to national defence,” he stated.
He further said India’s political leadership has, on multiple occasions, openly acknowledged its role in fostering terrorism inside Pakistan. “Evidence is irrefutable. From financing terror groups to facilitating cross-border attacks, India’s footprint is evident. Countries like the United States and Canada have themselves acknowledged instances of Indian state terrorism,” he noted. He added that India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is the mastermind of the broader terrorist infrastructure targeting Pakistan.
The DG ISPR drew a clear line between Pakistan’s constitutional and Islamic values and the extremist ideologies promoted by terrorist outfits. “Islam categorically forbids individuals or groups from waging war. Only the state has the legitimate authority to declare Jihad or combat. No militant, organisation or self-styled actor has this right,” he said.
He went on to denounce extremist networks operating under false religious pretexts. “The Khawarij renegade militants have no link to Islam, humanity, or Pakistan’s cultural values. The term ‘Khawarij’ is now widely used in our military and national discourse to describe these violent elements. Similarly, ‘Fitna-e-Hindustan’ is a term that refers to terrorists operating with Indian sponsorship—those particularly active in Balochistan to destabilise the federation.”
Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering diplomatic and political support to Iran, underscoring the country’s commitment to regional harmony and sovereign respect.
