Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the head of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and a senior leader of the Khalistan movement, has made a startling revelation, claiming that India intends to use the Adampur Airbase in Punjab as a launchpad for nuclear war against Pakistan. In response, he declared that the Sikh community will shut down the airbase permanently.
In a video message released by SFJ, Pannun stated:“India is planning a nuclear conflict with Pakistan and wants to use Punjab’s land for it. We will not allow this. Sikhs will ensure the Adampur Airbase is shut down.”
Pannun claimed that SFJ has received credible intelligence confirming the deployment of nuclear-capable Mirage 2000H fighter jets at the Adampur Airbase, located near the Pakistan border in Indian-occupied Punjab.
According to him, this sensitive deployment took place during a special visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was reportedly accompanied by senior officials from the nuclear and defense establishments.
In a further alarming claim, Pannun revealed that Sikh personnel at the Adampur Airbase were disarmed and removed from operational duties ahead of Modi’s visit—raising serious questions about the internal trust within the Indian military establishment.
Pannun reiterated that the Sikh community will not allow their homeland to be used as a staging ground for war, particularly a nuclear one, stating that such plans endanger not only the region but global peace.
This statement is expected to raise diplomatic and security concerns, especially amidst ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, and comes at a time when the Khalistan movement has been actively vocal against the Indian government’s military and political actions in Punjab.
