India Funding Terror in Pakistan Through Afghan Taliban, Admits Ex-Afghan Intelligence Chief

A former Afghan military intelligence chief has publicly confirmed that India is funneling financial support to terrorist groups operating in Pakistan through the Afghan Taliban exposing a dangerous regional alliance aimed at destabilizing the country. Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Sami Sadat, who previously served as Director of Military Intelligence and Commander of Special Operations Forces in the Afghan National Army, revealed that the Afghan Taliban maintain close ties with India and are actively supporting anti-Pakistan militant outfits.

“Afghan Taliban receive funding from India, which is then passed on to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) the Khawarij and Baloch separatist groups engaged in terrorist activities inside Pakistan,” General Sadat stated in a striking disclosure.

He further said that the Taliban are providing not just sanctuary, but direct financial backing to groups responsible for cross-border attacks on Pakistani soil, with Indian support playing a central role in sustaining this proxy warfare.

The former general’s statement corroborates recent remarks made by Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, who accused the Taliban regime in Kabul of aligning with India to orchestrate Pakistan-centric terrorism.

General Sadat’s revelation lends powerful international legitimacy to Pakistan’s long-held position that the escalating wave of terrorism in the region is not homegrown but engineered through a coordinated nexus between India and the Afghan Taliban.
