Khalistan movement leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has declared that in the event of an Indian military offensive through Punjab, Sikhs will stand as the first line of defence for Pakistan, not New Delhi.

In a video statement circulating on social media, Pannun said that although a full-scale war between India and Pakistan is not certain, Islamabad should not remain complacent. “India has not yet attacked Pakistan, but that doesn’t mean Pakistan should be at ease,” he warned.

He further stated that if Indian forces launch an assault on Pakistan via Punjab, Sikh soldiers would refuse to fight Modi’s war. “They know their real enemy is not Pakistan, but the Indian system,” Pannun claimed, adding that Sikh soldiers will turn Indian tanks back if Pakistan extends support for Punjab’s cause and advances the Khalistan referendum under UN supervision.

Pannun also said that any Sikh soldier who attempts to attack Pakistan would face resistance and defeat. He described the creation of Khalistan as a strategic solution to Pakistan’s political and economic challenges, suggesting that regional development would accelerate post-independence.

Addressing India’s role in regional unrest, he referred to New Delhi’s interference in Balochistan as an “open fact,” and urged Pakistan to internationalise recent terror incidents by taking them to the United Nations.

He added, “Pakistan stands today because of its military. While most politicians on both sides focus on self-preservation, Pakistan’s current Prime Minister appears to be sincere.” He also voiced support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
