Pakistani security officials have confirmed that three militants killed two days ago in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the Khoye Pewar, Darazinda area were senior operatives of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Tehrik-e-Taliban Kashmir (TTK).
The operation, conducted on Thursday night, was carried out on precise intelligence inputs indicating the presence of high-value terrorist elements involved in cross-border militancy. Officials have now verified the identities of two of the militants, linking them directly to the operational networks of the TTP’s South Punjab chapter and the newly surfaced TTK structure.
The first militant was identified as Abu Darda alias Hakeem, originally from Muzaffargarh, Punjab. Intelligence sources revealed that he had been a key TTP figure managing activities linked to South Punjab. He had recently appeared in a Seraiki-language propaganda video calling on activists of the banned Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) to align with the TTP.
The second militant was confirmed as Ijaz Ahmad alias Abu Dujana, from Taunsa, associated with the emerging Tehrik-e-Taliban Kashmir (TTK). Investigators stated that Abu Dujana had longstanding ties with Ilyas Kashmiri of Harkatul Jihad Al Islami and had been involved in activities linked to the 313-brigade. Both men had reportedly relocated to Afghanistan with their families in recent months.
The third militant remains unidentified, though security officials believe he was also connected to one of the two networks.
Authorities said the IBO was executed with precision, resulting in the neutralization of these high-value operatives without any collateral damage. Security officials emphasized that eliminating these figures has delivered a significant setback to the TTP and TTK’s regional operational capabilities, particularly in relation to their efforts to coordinate cross-border terrorism in South Punjab and Kashmir.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) noted that the success of the IBO reflects the professionalism and operational readiness of Pakistan’s security forces, reaffirming the country’s resolve to dismantle militant infrastructure wherever it emerges.
