The identities of a few militants killed during recent security operation in Mohmand district have been confirmed, officials said.
In Mohmand, those identified include Rahat Mansoor, a local commander from Pandiali; Muhammad Farooz, a member of the Taliban’s 313 Badri Battalion; Hafiz Umar, from Khogiani district, Nangarhar province, Afghanistan; and a militant known as Mujahidullah.
In Bajaur, two Afghan nationals; Abdul Wahid (also known as Abu Ubaida) and Ahmed Bilal (also known as Zaid), from Zarghun Bar village, Muhammad Agha district, Logar province, were killed during a military operation in the Loi Mamund area.
Officials said these follow-up identifications come after the earlier elimination of key TTP commander Mujahid (also known as Mazahim), a key deputy to Maulana Noor Wali Mehsud and head of the militant faction Fitna al-Khawarij. Authorities emphasized that confirming these additional militants, including Afghan nationals, highlights the significant impact of the operations on the TTP network in the region.
