The operation was conducted near Manza Two Post in the Akakhel, Alam Kaley area, targeting a group led by TTP commander Saddam alias Abuzar, along with a Peshawar-based cell. During the operation, seven militants were injured, according to security sources.
A heavy exchange of fire took place between security forces and the militants. During the clash, one soldier embraced martyrdom, while another sustained injury. The injured jawan was shifted to Shaukat Khanum Hospital for medical treatment.
Security officials said the firefight is still ongoing, and reinforcements have been deployed to prevent the militants from escaping.
The operation is part of continued efforts by security forces to dismantle militant networks operating in the region and to prevent cross-border and internal security threats.
