Pakistan’s security forces continue executing Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq as a decisive response to hostilities initiated by the Tehrik-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) on 26 February 2026. Security authorities have reaffirmed that opportunity targets will be engaged immediately if any attempt is made by TTA elements along or across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Along the Balochistan front, during the nights of 4–5 March 2026, Pakistan Army units conducted retributive fire operations across Qilla Saifullah, Chaman, Sambaza, Naushki, and Chiltan sectors, employing all available calibres to deliver precise punitive strikes against identified TTA thanas and hostile military positions along the border. These operations included three physical raids and thirty-six fire raids, carried out to further degrade hostile infrastructure and operational capability. The coordinated assaults inflicted significant damage on enemy positions and disrupted their ability to mount further attacks.
On the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) front, including the Khyber, Khurram, and adjoining sectors, Pakistan forces continued direct and indirect fire engagements. Infiltration attempts near Torkham were successfully repulsed, demonstrating the forces’ readiness and control over key border passages.
In the Gudwana Enclave (Zhob sector), Pakistani troops firmly maintained control over the 32 square kilometre area, with nearby hostile posts largely vacated and white flags observed as retreating TTA elements withdrew under operational pressure. This secured the enclave as a stable foothold along the border and further weakened enemy positions in the surrounding region.
During this phase of operations, over 35 hostile locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted through a combination of coordinated fire assaults and aerial engagements. According to security sources, TTA has suffered 502 confirmed fatalities and over 710 injuries, while 234 check posts were destroyed and 38 posts captured by Pakistan forces. In addition, 206 tanks, APCs, vehicles, and artillery pieces were destroyed, and 56 locations were targeted from the air, significantly reducing the TTA’s operational capability.
Despite repeated battlefield failures, TTA propaganda channels continue to circulate fabricated claims regarding the capture of Pakistani posts and exaggerated casualty figures. Security authorities stressed that ground realities remain firmly in Pakistan’s favour, as punishment operations continue to degrade hostile capabilities and deny the enemy freedom of movement along the frontier.
Pakistan’s security forces reiterated their commitment to maintaining territorial integrity, ensuring the safety of civilians, and preventing any cross-border aggression. Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq remains ongoing and will persist until the complete neutralisation of hostile intent along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
