Dera Ismail Khan: Security forces eliminated more than ten terrorists, including a highly wanted TTP commander, with four Afghan nationals among those killed.
Sources said that in Kulachi tehsil, security forces carried out an intelligence based operation and neutralised over ten terrorists, including the wanted commander Alam Mehsud, while two others were injured.
The neutralised terrorists were identified as Alam Mehsud, the former deputy commander of Abu Zukwan, Suri, Sajid Majid, and Tariq. According to sources, four of those killed were affiliated with Afghanistan.
A large quantity of explosives, suicide jackets, improvised explosive devices, and weapons was recovered from the area.
Commander Alam Mehsud was involved in the 2008 attack on the Nawaz Kot post, the 2010 attack on Bannu jail, and the 2014 attack on an Army post. Sources added that investigations are ongoing.
