A high-level security meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held in Turbat under the chairmanship of the Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan (South), focusing on the overall law and order situation in Kech district and measures to strengthen regional security.

Officials from the district administration, police, customs, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), excise and taxation, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), and other law enforcement bodies attended the meeting.

The primary objective was to review prevailing security conditions in Kech, enhance inter-agency coordination, and develop a unified strategy to address emerging challenges. Detailed discussions were held on curbing human smuggling, countering narcotics trafficking, and controlling the movement of non-custom-paid goods, all of which are considered key enablers of organized crime and militant financing in the region.

Addressing the participants, the IG Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) stressed the need for stronger coordination and sustained cooperation among all relevant institutions to effectively respond to security threats. He directed officials to ensure the immediate sharing of intelligence related to any suspicious activity, enabling timely action and preventing potential incidents.

He also emphasized that lasting peace and stability in Kech depend on proactive law enforcement, effective information-sharing, and consistent follow-through against criminal and subversive networks.

The IG further urged the district administration and all law enforcement agencies to play a decisive role in maintaining law and order, enforcing the writ of the state, and ensuring public safety and welfare across the district.

Participants reiterated their commitment to continued joint efforts and coordinated action to improve security and maintain stability in Kech district.
