District Police Officer (DPO) Khan Zeb Mohmand has reaffirmed the resolve to completely eradicate the Khawarij and their facilitators from Hangu, reiterating that the state will show no leniency towards those threatening peace and stability. The DPO made these remarks following a successful joint operation by the Al-Buraq Commandos and Rapid Response Force in the Doaba area of Hangu, during which two facilitators of the Khawarij were arrested in a targeted raid.
According to DPO Khan Zeb Mohmand, intelligence-based operations are being carried out across the district to dismantle Khawarij networks and neutralize their support structures. During the latest operation, security forces recovered heavy weapons, ammunition, and other materials used in anti-state activities. Officials confirmed that the seized items also included equipment and disguise materials used by Khawarij elements to conceal their identities.
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the investigation unit for detailed interrogation and further legal action, while follow-up operations are ongoing in adjacent areas. DPO Khan Zeb Mohmand commended the Hangu Police for their commitment and courage in maintaining peace, emphasizing that their sacrifices remain a source of pride for the force and the nation. “We will continue to act decisively against all elements that seek to disturb peace. The Khawarij and their facilitators will be dealt with through the full force of law,” he said.
