Security forces have foiled an attempted infiltration by a Fitna al-Khwarij (FAK) ‘tashkeel’ (group of terrorists dispatched to a certain area for terror attack) at the Ghulam Khan border along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier, eliminating all 15 terrorists involved in the infiltration attempt.

According to security sources, alert troops deployed along the Pak-Afghan border detected the attempted movement of the FAK tashkeel as it tried to infiltrate into Pakistan through the Ghulam Khan sector.

The infiltrators were immediately engaged by the security forces. In the ensuing action, all 15 FAK terrorists were eliminated before they could penetrate further into Pakistani territory.

Security forces have so far recovered 12 bodies of the eliminated terrorists, while efforts are continuing to locate and recover the remaining bodies.

The successful interception highlights the vigilance of troops deployed along the mountainous and challenging terrain of the Pak-Afghan border, where terrorist groups have repeatedly attempted to exploit difficult terrain and unauthorized crossing points to infiltrate into Pakistan.

The attempted infiltration also underscores the continuing threat posed by terrorist networks operating from across the border and their efforts to send armed cadres into Pakistan for carrying out terrorist activities.

Security forces have intensified surveillance and border security measures to prevent such attempts and deny terrorists any opportunity to establish footholds inside the country.

A search operation is continuing in the area to ensure that no infiltrator has managed to evade the security cordon. Security personnel are also conducting a thorough sweep of the surrounding terrain as the hunt for any remaining accomplices continues.

The latest operation comes amid sustained intelligence-based and border-security operations against terrorist networks seeking to infiltrate into Pakistan.

Security forces remain on high alert along the Pak-Afghan border and have reiterated their resolve to prevent terrorist infiltration and neutralize threats before they can reach populated areas or sensitive targets.
