In a striking display of public resolve, the residents of Nushki took matters into their own hands and demolished the home of notorious terrorist Bashir Zeb. The act reflects a long-standing local tradition of holding individuals accountable when involved in serious crimes or terrorism.
Security sources say that for years, fear prevented the community from confronting the terrorist directly. However, following the recent decisive setbacks suffered by Fitna al-Hindustan and its armed wing in Hiefro-2 operations, the courage and morale of locals have grown significantly.
Bashir Zeb, a prominent facilitator and operational leader of Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan, had been linked to multiple attacks across the province. Recent intelligence-based operations by Pakistani security forces in Nushki and surrounding districts, including Mirani, Panjgur, and Washuk, led to the elimination of 22 terrorists and the recovery of a large cache of sophisticated arms and surveillance equipment.
Officials said that the recovered stock, including assault rifles, grenade launchers, RPGs, night-vision goggles, tactical vests, and other military-grade equipment, underscored the external support provided to militant networks operating in Balochistan. Analysts argue that such public acts, coupled with intelligence-led operations, not only disrupt militant infrastructure but also signal a broad societal rejection of terrorism.
Security experts have observed that communities across Balochistan, from Datakhel to Nushki, are increasingly standing alongside law enforcement agencies to counter terrorism, demonstrating that public trust in security institutions remains unshaken. The demolition of Bashir Zeb’s house represents more than retribution; it is a reaffirmation of local commitment to peace, stability, and national resilience.
Authorities continue clearance and sanitization operations across the region, emphasizing that all facilitators, operational leaders, and supporters of proscribed militant outfits will be relentlessly pursued.
