Pakistani security forces have killed four terrorists affiliated with the India-backed group “Fitna al-Hindustan” during an intelligence-based operation in the Kalat district of Balochistan, ISPR confirmed on Sunday.
The overnight operation, conducted between July 19 and 20, was launched following credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists involved in recent terror attacks, including the deadly assault on a passenger bus carrying artists along the Quetta-Karachi highway on July 16.
During the raid, security forces engaged the terrorists in an intense firefight. Four terrorists were killed, and a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered. According to official sources, the group had been actively involved in orchestrating attacks on civilians and security personnel in the region.
A sanitization operation remains underway to clear the area of any remaining threats.
Officials described the slain militants as part of a broader network receiving external support, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to dismantle India-sponsored terrorist infrastructure operating within its borders.
The July 16 attack on the Quetta-Karachi highway, which targeted a passenger bus transporting artists, was widely condemned and seen as a chilling reminder of the persistent threat posed by cross-border proxy groups operating in Balochistan.
Security agencies say they remain on high alert across the province, and have vowed to continue targeted operations to ensure peace and stability in the region.
