Four More Villages Declared Safe in Bajaur After Security Forces’ Action Against Khawarij

The district administration has announced the return of residents to four more villages in Mamund tehsil of Bajaur after clearance operations by security forces, reaffirming that stability is being restored across the region.

According to the administration, Bara Lagharai, Darmiani Laghrai, Larra Lagharai, and Dabrai War Mamund have been declared safe for repatriation. With the security situation normalised, displaced families are now being facilitated in returning to their homes. Officials noted that the process of rehabilitation begins immediately once areas are secured, contrary to propaganda suggesting otherwise.

The latest development follows an earlier phase in which five villages  Serai Kalan, Serai Miyangan, Lunday Kalan, Bilal Masjid Tarkho, and Shamshergarh Qila Tarkho  were declared clear, with residents already resettled in their homes. Authorities confirmed that administrative control has been re-established in all cleared areas, where normal daily life is gradually resuming.

The administration praised the patience, resilience, and sacrifices of the local communities, assuring that every displaced family would be guaranteed a safe and dignified return. Officials further said the repatriation of families from other affected villages would also begin soon in a phased and systematic manner, ensuring close consultation with local residents to make the process orderly and secure.

By steadily restoring security, administrative writ, and civilian life in cleared areas, the return of displaced families in Bajaur marks another step towards long-term stability and peace in the region.
