On 19 December 2025, security forces successfully foiled a heinous terrorist attack in the Boya area of North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of all four militants belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Khwarij, ISPR confirmed.

The attackers attempted to breach the perimeter of a security forces camp but were repelled by the swift and professional response of the troops. In desperation, they rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the outer wall, causing its collapse and significant damage to nearby civilian infrastructure, including a mosque. Fifteen civilians, including women and children, sustained injuries in the blast.

During the intense operation, four soldiers displayed exceptional bravery and paid the ultimate sacrifice. The martyred soldiers have been identified as Havildar Muhammad Waqas (42) of District Kotli, Naik Khanwaiz (38) of District Mansehra, Sepoy Sufyan Haider (25) of District Vehari, and Sepoy Riffat (32) of District Leyyah.

The Ministry of Defence and ISPR condemned the attack, stressing that such acts of terrorism, orchestrated from Afghanistan-based Khwarij, contradict claims by the Afghan Taliban regime regarding the non-presence of such groups on their soil. Pakistan has urged the interim Afghan government to fulfill its obligations and prevent the use of its territory against Pakistan. Authorities affirmed that Pakistan reserves the right to pursue the attackers and their facilitators to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
