Suicide Blast, Tarlai Mosque Suicide Attack, Facilitators of Islamabad Blast

A major breakthrough has been made in the investigation into the suicide blast on the Tarlai mosque, as law enforcement agencies have arrested four facilitators linked to the attack, police confirmed on Saturday.

According to police sources, the arrests were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where two suspects each were taken into custody from Peshawar and Nowshera districts during intelligence-based operations.

Officials said the detained individuals are believed to have provided logistical and operational support to the suicide bomber involved in the mosque attack, which has so far claimed 31 lives and left 169 worshippers injured.

Authorities added that the Government of Pakistan has expanded the scope of the investigation, launching a broader crackdown against multiple suspected facilitators and support networks connected to the incident.

During one of the follow-up operations, security forces encountered resistance, resulting in the martyrdom of a police officer. Police confirmed that a sub-inspector embraced martyrdom in the line of duty while participating in the raid.

Five personnel were also injured in the operation, including officials from intelligence agencies, a police sub-inspector, and two members of the Elite Force.

Security agencies stated that raids and arrests are ongoing, as investigators work to dismantle the wider facilitation network behind the suicide attack. Authorities reiterated their resolve to bring all perpetrators and abettors to justice through sustained counterterrorism operations.
