Five Khawarij Eliminated as Security Forces Foil Cross-Border Infiltration in Bajaur

In a major security success, Pakistan’s valiant forces thwarted a cross-border infiltration attempt from Afghanistan in the Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur District, eliminating five armed Khawarij affiliated with the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). According to security officials, a group of militants attempted to infiltrate Pakistani territory from across the Pak-Afghan border under the cover of darkness. Swift and decisive retaliation by alert Pakistani forces resulted in the killing of all five intruders before they could pose a threat inside the country.

The eliminated militants, identified as hardcore Khawarij, were operating from safe havens in Afghanistan and were believed to be planning sabotage activities within Pakistan. Their neutralization has dealt yet another significant blow to the TTP’s cross-border terrorism network.

The failed infiltration attempt underscores the continued misuse of Afghan soil by anti-Pakistan elements and reinforces Islamabad’s repeated concerns in this regard. Security forces remain ever-vigilant along the western border and reaffirm their iron resolve to defend the homeland at all costs.

Search and clearance operations are underway in the surrounding area to ensure lasting security and prevent any recurrence of such hostile incursions.
