An FIR has been registered at the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Police Station over the terrorist attack on the Frontier Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar, documenting the assault carried out by three militants that resulted in the martyrdom of three personnel and injuries to 11 others. The case has been lodged under terrorism charges against unidentified attackers.
According to the FIR, filed by local Station House Officer Abdullah Jalal, three motorcycle-borne terrorists targeted the Federal Constabulary Headquarters. The report states that one attacker detonated himself at the main gate, while the remaining two militants opened fire and made their way inside the premises. The FIR notes that more than 27 spent bullet casings were recovered from the crime scene.
The text of the report adds that the terrorists aimed to undermine national security and damage government property. The incident occurred a day earlier, when the three attackers launched the assault on the FC Headquarters, resulting in the loss of three personnel and injuries to 11 others in the suicide bombing and subsequent gunfire.
Authorities have initiated a formal investigation following the registration of the case.
