Fifteen Khawarij Eliminated, Weapons Seized in Intelligence-Based Operations Across KP: ISPR

Fifteen Khawarij were killed in three separate engagements with security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 25 and 26, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

An intelligence-based operation was conducted in Karak district, where troops engaged a reported terrorist hideout, resulting in the killing of eight Khawarij. In another operation in North Waziristan district, four Khawarij were killed. Two soldiers, Lance Naik Usman Mohmand, 28, a resident of Charsadda, and Sepoy Imran Khan, 26, a resident of Kurram, embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire after fighting gallantly.

Separately, in the Gomal Zam area of South Waziristan district, three Khawarij were neutralized during an encounter. Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists, who, the ISPR said, had been involved in various terrorist activities.

Sanitization operations are underway to clear the areas of any remaining militants. The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating terrorism and said the sacrifices of the soldiers further strengthened their resolve.
