Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir visited Balochistan where he reviewed the security situation, ongoing development projects, and reaffirmed full support for initiatives aimed at the province’s socio-economic uplift.According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit was aimed at strengthening civil-military harmony to ensure lasting stability and prosperity in Balochistan. The army chief was given a detailed briefing on the security environment, successful operations against hostile elements, progress of development schemes, and ongoing efforts to improve the socio-economic conditions in southern Balochistan.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir also met Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial chief secretary, and representatives of the civil administration. Matters related to enhanced coordination between civil and military institutions and measures to address the challenges faced by the people of Balochistan came under discussion.
The COAS underlined the importance of joint civil-military efforts in tackling the province’s security and development challenges. He reiterated the Army’s firm commitment to fully support all ongoing initiatives aimed at the social and economic development of southern Balochistan and the well-being of its people. ISPR said the Army Chief’s visit highlighted the resolve to strengthen national integration, accelerate socio-economic progress, and ensure peace and stability across the province.
