Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Monday reiterated Pakistan’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, vowing that no terrorist or facilitator would be spared, as he visited Quetta and reviewed the security situation in Balochistan, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief received a detailed briefing on ongoing security operations and the broader law-and-order environment during his visit.
He also visited a hospital where he met injured personnel from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and police, inquiring about their health and praising their role in foiling terrorist designs and maintaining stability under difficult conditions.
ISPR said the field marshal commended the coordinated efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies, describing their actions as vital to preventing destabilization and protecting civilians.
Addressing officers, he stressed that violence and terrorism cannot be justified under any pretext, reiterating that strict legal action would be taken against all those involved in terrorism or its facilitation.
The visit comes amid intensified counterterrorism operations across Balochistan as security forces continue efforts to dismantle militant networks and their support structures.
