Field Marshal Asim Munir Reviews Multi-Domain Warfare Readiness in Bahawalpur

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Bahawalpur Garrison, where he reviewed operational, training, and administrative activities and reiterated Pakistan Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The visit underscored the Armed Forces’ focus on integrating advanced technology into multi-domain operations and preparing for emerging security challenges.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the CDF was briefed on various operational, training, and administrative initiatives across the garrison, with particular emphasis on preparations for multi-domain warfare, reflecting the evolving nature of modern combat.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir observed the Field Exercise “Steadfast Resolve” at Khairpur Thamiwali (KPT). The exercise showcased the integration of cutting-edge technologies, including unmanned aerial systems (drones), advanced surveillance equipment, electronic warfare capabilities, and modern command-and-control systems. This demonstration highlighted the Armed Forces’ focus on technology-driven multi-domain operations and their readiness to operate effectively in complex modern warfare environments.

Addressing personnel, Field Marshal Munir praised their high morale, professional competence, and operational preparedness, emphasizing that Pakistan Armed Forces possess the capability to counter all forms of threats to the nation’s sovereignty and regional security. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a high state of readiness to meet future security challenges and evolving battlefield requirements.

The CDF also noted that Pakistan’s Armed Forces are undergoing a significant transformation across multiple domains, driven by technological advancement and the changing character of warfare. He emphasized that future conflicts will be defined by technology-based maneuvers, fundamentally altering offensive and defensive operations. Accordingly, the Armed Forces are rapidly adopting modern technologies, with innovation, indigenization, and adaptability forming the pillars of this transformation.

During his visit, the Chief of Defence Staff also inaugurated the Rohee E-Skills Learning Hub (STP), aimed at enhancing digital skills and learning opportunities for students, particularly from southern Punjab and across the country. He further inaugurated the Army Public School (APS) Abbasia Campus, reflecting the Pakistan Army’s commitment to providing quality education and character-building opportunities.

Additionally, Field Marshal Munir visited the EME Regional Workshop, where he was briefed on the maintenance and sustainment of modern platforms, carried out through a combination of advanced technology, indigenous production, and other operational support systems. Upon arrival at Bahawalpur Garrison, the CDF was received by Commander Bahawalpur Corps, paid tribute to martyrs by laying a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument, and offered Fateha in honor of their sacrifices.

This visit highlights the Pakistan Armed Forces’ dedication to technological modernization, operational excellence, and the continuous development of human capital, ensuring the country’s readiness to face emerging threats and maintain peace and security across all domains.
