Field Marshal Asim Munir Leads Charge Against Hybrid Threats, Inducts Advanced Helicopters

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Multan Garrison where he presided over the formal induction of the Z-10ME attack helicopters into Pakistan Army Aviation, witnessed a live-fire demonstration of the new fleet, and engaged with scholars and civil society representatives in a wide-ranging discussion on hybrid threats and national cohesion.

Upon arrival at the garrison, the COAS was warmly received by the Corps Commander Multan. At the Corps Headquarters, Field Marshal Asim Munir was briefed on the formation’s operational readiness and ongoing training initiatives. Expressing satisfaction over the high standards of preparedness, he reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s unwavering resolve to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity under all circumstances.

The highlight of the visit was the induction of the state-of-the-art Z-10ME attack helicopters—an all-weather, multi-role combat platform capable of precision strike operations both day and night. Equipped with cutting-edge radar systems and advanced electronic warfare suites, the Z-10ME significantly augments the Army’s capacity to counter diverse aerial and ground threats, marking a substantial leap in the modernization of Army Aviation.

Later, the Army Chief witnessed a live firepower demonstration by the newly inducted helicopters at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges. The display of combat capabilities underscored the helicopters’ operational effectiveness and reinforced Pakistan Army’s integrated battlefield response, enhancing its ability to deliver decisive effects against potential adversaries.

Interacting with officers and soldiers at the site, Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded their exceptional professionalism, combat proficiency, and high morale.
