Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, during which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence collaboration and expanding strategic cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting reviewed the state of bilateral relations with a particular focus on defence and security cooperation, military-to-military engagement, training exchanges, and their shared interest in promoting regional peace and stability. The discussions underscored the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Egypt, built on mutual trust, common values, and a shared vision for regional security.
Both sides expressed their resolve to further consolidate alignment in defence and broader strategic domains, deepening institutional cooperation and enhancing the scope of joint initiatives. The reaffirmed commitment reflects the continuity of close ties between the two nations and their determination to advance collaboration in areas critical to stability in the region.
On the occasion, Foreign Minister Dr Badr Ahmed conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Egypt’s leadership, expressing Cairo’s keen interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan across all sectors. He noted that Egypt attaches great importance to its relationship with Pakistan and seeks to broaden the partnership in defence, diplomacy, and development.
Field Marshal Asim Munir and the Egyptian foreign minister also emphasised the importance of sustained high-level engagements in light of evolving regional security dynamics. They agreed that consistent strategic dialogue is essential for addressing emerging challenges and ensuring that both countries remain aligned in their efforts to promote peace and stability.
The meeting marked another milestone in the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Egypt, reinforcing their shared commitment to stronger defence ties and enhanced regional cooperation.
