An FC official and his brother were martyred in a targeted gun attack near Wanda Karim Khan in Lakki Marwat, police said on Friday. According to officials, the victims were identified as FC personnel Basirullah and his brother Ihsanullah. Basirullah had been on leave and was visiting his family. The attack took place as they were returning home from a hotel.
Police said unidentified assailants opened fire on the brothers, killing them on the spot. The attackers fled the scene, and a search operation has been launched to track them down. Authorities have cordoned off the area and collected evidence from the site. Police stated that all available resources were being utilised to trace and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over targeted killings in Lakki Marwat and the broader region, where security forces and their families have increasingly come under attack.
