An eyewitness account from a security guard at a Kabul drug rehabilitation center has debunked false claims circulated by Taliban-linked sources, which sought to portray a Pakistani military strike as targeting civilians. The testimony confirms that Omid Hospital and its patients remained completely unharmed.
The security guard reported that the strike occurred approximately 200 meters away from the facility, directly contradicting claims that the hospital itself was hit. He confirmed that only minor injuries were reported and that all individuals affected are in stable condition. The presence of anti-aircraft gun (AA) fire in the vicinity further confirms that the strike targeted a military compound rather than a civilian medical facility.
These verified observations dismantle the fabricated narrative propagated by Taliban-linked sources, which attempted to depict the operation as an attack on a civilian hospital. Independent verification aligns with the eyewitness account, showing that the actual strike was precisely directed at a military installation housing militant personnel and weapons, leaving civilian structures untouched.
Security analysts emphasize that such misinformation campaigns are increasingly used in conflict zones to distort public perception, exaggerate civilian harm, and manipulate international opinion. They stress the importance of rigorous fact-checking and independent verification to prevent the spread of false narratives.
Authorities reaffirm that Pakistan’s Armed Forces conduct precision strikes against verified militant targets, with strict protocols to avoid civilian areas. They urge media and the public to rely on credible, verified sources before accepting claims made by conflict actors.
The eyewitness account confirms that Omid Hospital remained untouched, minor injuries were limited and treated, and the strike successfully targeted a military compound, exposing Taliban-linked claims as false and misleading.
