Explosive Attack and Arson Target Police Residence in Lakki Marwat

An alarming security incident was reported from Pahar Khel Pakka, Lakki Marwat, where unknown assailants targeted the residence of police officials, causing significant damage through arson and the use of explosive material.

According to police sources, the house belonging to Anwar Shah, Traffic In-Charge Lakki Marwat, was set on fire by unidentified individuals. During the attack, the main gate and a section of the sitting room (baithak) wall were destroyed. The house was unoccupied at the time of the incident, preventing any loss of life.

Police further disclosed that this attack follows a separate but related incident reported a day earlier, in which the same house owned by two brothers, Afzal Khan and Anwar Shah, both serving in Lakki Marwat police was blown up using explosive material. The explosion caused extensive structural damage, destroying multiple rooms and collapsing portions of the boundary wall. The house was vacant during that attack as well.

The coordinated nature of the attacks suggests a deliberate attempt to intimidate law enforcement personnel and undermine the writ of the state. Targeting the property of serving police officers reflects a disturbing escalation in tactics aimed at creating fear and exerting pressure on security institutions.

Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and launched a detailed investigation to identify those responsible. Evidence is being collected from the scene, and intelligence-based efforts are underway to trace the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the attacks.

Authorities have strongly condemned the incident and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting police personnel and bringing those involved to justice. Additional security measures are being considered in the area to prevent further incidents.

The attacks highlight the continued security challenges in parts of Lakki Marwat and underscore the need for sustained counterterrorism and law enforcement operations to safeguard public servants and civilian infrastructure.
