Eighteen Afghan Terrorists Identified After Border Clashes; Pakistan Vows to Crush Indian-Sponsored Militancy

Pakistan’s security forces have confirmed the identities of eighteen Afghan terrorists belonging to the Fitan-al-Khawarij factions who were killed in recent clashes along the Pak–Afghan border. These militants were actively involved in cross-border attacks and subversive activities against Pakistan, operating under the patronage of hostile intelligence agencies.

The identified terrorists include:

1. Anas 2. Nematullah Zubair 3. Mullah Noor Muhammad Mukhlis 4. Attaullah Naziri 5. Abdullah 6. Mairwais Afghan 7. Qureshi 8. Naseebullah Sangari 9. Saeed Qari Muhammad 10. Dawood Mudammil 11. Saif-ul-‘Umar Umari 12. Abdul Rehman Zarqawi 13. Ikrimah 14. Akhtar Jan 15. Anas Ghazi 16. Zar Muhammad 17. Zulfiqar Talib 18. Zakariya

According to officials, these terrorists were part of Indian-sponsored militant networks operating from Afghan soil, orchestrating attacks on Pakistan’s border posts, civilians, and law enforcement agencies. The network’s activities have long been aimed at destabilizing Pakistan’s western border regions and undermining the country’s internal security through coordinated acts of terror.

The confirmation of identities follows a series of precise and intelligence-based operations conducted by Pakistan’s security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the framework of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, a comprehensive counterterrorism initiative approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The recent engagements resulted in the elimination of 34 Khwarij militants across North Waziristan, South Waziristan, and Bannu districts a major setback for terrorist elements receiving external support.

Security forces have since launched extensive sanitization and intelligence follow-up operations to trace and neutralize remaining facilitators and networks linked to foreign-sponsored terrorism. Officials emphasized that these actions demonstrate Pakistan’s firm resolve to ensure that no terrorist safe haven — internal or external — is allowed to threaten its people or borders.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, the military leadership stated that the defense of the nation’s frontiers and the protection of its citizens is an absolute and sacred duty. The statement added that Pakistan reserves the right to respond decisively to any cross-border aggression or violation of its sovereignty.

Under the ongoing Azm-e-Istehkam campaign, the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, in close coordination with civil administration, continue their relentless operations to dismantle terror networks and eliminate all threats emanating from foreign-sponsored proxies.

Pakistan’s security institutions reiterated their unwavering commitment to defending every inch of the motherland, declaring that the fight against terrorism will continue at full momentum until complete peace and stability are restored across the country.
