Security forces, in an intelligence-based operation in the Sar Kati Machan Khel area, targeted hideouts of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Tipu Gul group, killing eight militants and injuring several others.
During the operation, militants opened fire on security personnel, resulting in the martyrdom of seven soldiers and injuries to five others. The wounded personnel were shifted to CMH Bannu for medical treatment.
Security sources confirmed that the operation against the militants remains ongoing.
