Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on 24 October 2025, following confirmed reports of militants linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al-Khawarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to ISPR, troops engaged the militants’ positions, and after an intense exchange of fire, eight Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed.
The slain militants were reportedly involved in multiple attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession.
A sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining militants. The ISPR reaffirmed that under the counterterrorism campaign Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations at full pace to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
