According to local sources, disagreements between members of the group intensified in recent hours, resulting in a split into two factions one reportedly comprising fighters of Afghan origin and the other consisting of local Bajaur-based members.

Members of the Afghan faction have reportedly accused their commander said to be from Bajaur of deliberately deploying them into active conflict zones without adequate support.
