DG ISPR Highlights Threat of Indian-Backed Extremists and Online Propaganda

The Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) held a special session with faculty and students at Islamia University, Bahawalpur, emphasizing the pivotal role of Pakistan Army in national security and the protection of the country’s sovereignty. The event brought together educators and students from various universities and madrassas for a comprehensive discussion on contemporary challenges facing Pakistan.

During the session, DG ISPR paid tribute to the people of Bahawalpur for their historical contributions to the Pakistan Movement and their continued support for the stability and progress of the nation. The dialogue covered a broad range of topics, including the current national and regional security situation, Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, and the critical role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in safeguarding national interests.

A key focus of the discussion was the joint threat posed by Indian-backed propaganda and extremist networks, referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij. The session highlighted the dangers of social media misinformation and the importance of critical engagement to protect youth from hostile narratives. The Vice-Chancellor of Islamia University praised the initiative for enhancing awareness about Pakistan’s national security objectives and fostering informed citizenship.

Participants underscored the importance of media literacy as an essential tool for protecting young people from negative propaganda and enemy narratives. They lauded the Pakistan Army for standing by the nation in times of adversity and maintaining the dignity of the state and constitution. Students from madrassas expressed their appreciation for the Armed Forces’ consistent commitment to national unity and security.

The session concluded with vibrant expressions of national pride, as students and faculty joined in raising the slogans of “Long Live Pakistan” and “Pakistan Army Zindabad”, reflecting their solidarity with the nation and its defenders.

This initiative demonstrates a continuing effort to engage young minds in meaningful dialogue, strengthen public understanding of national security, and foster unity against internal and external challenges to Pakistan’s stability.
