DG ISPR Confirms Foiling of Indian Drone Attacks on Multiple Locations, Highlights Retaliatory Strikes on Indian Aircraft

Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that India attempted to carry out attacks on several areas across Pakistan last night, which were successfully thwarted by the Pakistan Army.

In a detailed briefing, Lieutenant General Chaudhry disclosed that India launched a series of attacks using Heron drones on twelve locations near Lahore, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Chhor, Mianwali, Gujranwala, and Karachi. The vigilant personnel of the Pakistan Army swiftly responded, taking down the drones in timely counteractions. The wreckage of the destroyed Indian drones remains in the affected areas.

The ISPR spokesperson further reported that four Pakistan Army officers sustained injuries in Lahore, while one civilian was martyred in the Mianwali area of Sindh. All Indian drones were successfully destroyed.

This attack comes on the heels of the tragic events of May 6-7, when India targeted civilian populations in Azad Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad, Kotli, and Bagh, along with Mureedke and Shigrgarh, resulting in the martyrdom of 31 Pakistanis and the injury of 57 others.

In retaliation, Pakistan’s armed forces delivered a decisive blow, destroying five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale jets. Additionally, the Pakistan Army successfully dismantled multiple Indian check posts in occupied Kashmir.

This serves as a reminder of the Pakistan Army’s readiness to protect national sovereignty and respond swiftly to any external aggression.
