Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has issued a strong statement against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him an “international terrorist”, and urging the global community to acknowledge the truth behind regional instability.

Speaking at a press briefing, Khawaja Asif said it is time the world realised how deeply Pakistan has suffered due to terrorism, and questioned the legitimacy of allegations linking Pakistan to terrorist activities.

“It must be decided whether the accusations levelled against us have any basis at all,” the minister stated. “We’ve consistently demanded investigations into incidents like Pulwama, and any future dialogue must include the formation of an independent inquiry commission.”

The minister emphasized that Pakistan has endured more losses in the fight against terrorism than any other country, and continues to bear the economic, social, and security costs of this long-standing conflict.

On the Kashmir dispute, Khawaja Asif reiterated Pakistan’s stance, saying any meaningful dialogue must be rooted in UN Security Council resolutions. “There must be serious engagement on the Kashmir issue,” he said. “Our position has always been aligned with international law.”

Khawaja Asif’s remarks reflect Pakistan’s growing frustration over what it sees as a global double standard in addressing terrorism and regional conflicts, particularly in South Asia.
