In view of potential security threats during planned security movement, the district administration has imposed a curfew along the Bannu–Miran Shah Road, extending up to the Ghulam Khan Border, to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
The curfew has been enforced on the recommendation of the Deputy Commissioner Bannu, following which formal orders were issued by the Additional Chief Secretary for Home and Tribal Affairs. The decision has been taken as a precautionary security measure in light of credible threat assessments.
According to the official notification, the curfew will remain in effect today, Saturday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this period, all civilian movement and the use of private vehicles will be strictly prohibited on the designated route. Only authorized security and emergency services will be permitted to operate.
The administration has directed that residents living along and around the Miran Shah Road corridor be properly informed in advance to minimize inconvenience and ensure compliance. Relevant departments have been instructed to disseminate information through public announcements and other available communication channels.
Authorities emphasized that the measure is temporary and preventive, aimed at facilitating secure movement and averting any untoward incidents. Citizens have been urged to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and adhere strictly to the curfew orders in the interest of collective safety.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, stating that such measures are taken only when necessitated by security considerations. Any updates or changes to the curfew schedule will be communicated through official channels.
