In a rousing address to the National Assembly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that Pakistan’s armed forces successfully thwarted a surprise Indian attack during the cover of night, turning what he called “a dark night of aggression into a moonlit night of triumph.”

Speaking under the chairmanship of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, the Prime Minister lauded the bravery and readiness of the Pakistani military. “Our enemy tried to strike in the darkness, hoping to catch us off guard,” he said. “But our valiant forces crushed the cowardly assault with such force that the night itself was illuminated by their courage.”

The Prime Minister also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives, including women and children, during the attack, and called upon the assembly to pray for the martyrs.

Referring to recent events in Pahalgam, Shehbaz condemned India’s swift and baseless accusations against Pakistan, pointing out that within just 10 minutes of the incident, Indian media and politicians began blaming Islamabad without evidence. “Despite offering transparent and neutral investigations, India not only refused but also reprimanded a friendly nation for supporting our call,” he noted.

Shehbaz further linked recent terror incidents in Balochistan, including a train hijacking, to collusion between BLA, TTP, and Indian elements. “We have undeniable evidence of these ties,” he stated, adding that India’s refusal to condemn the Balochistan attack reveals its true intentions.

With firm resolve, the Prime Minister emphasized, “India may flaunt its Rafale jets, but wars are not won by pride — they are won by faith, preparation, and the unity of a nation.”
