Amid rising security threats in the region, the district administration of North Waziristan has announced the imposition of a day-long curfew on Monday (tomorrow), restricting all civilian movement from 5:00am to 7:00pm in what officials describe as a necessary step to maintain law and order.
According to an official communiqué issued by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yousaf Kareem, all major thoroughfares will remain completely closed to public traffic during curfew hours, as security forces undertake sensitive operations to neutralise potential threats.
The Deputy Commissioner urged residents to demonstrate civic responsibility and cooperate fully with security personnel. “This measure is vital for ensuring the safety of our people and the success of ongoing security efforts,” he stated, appealing to the public to avoid all unnecessary movement during the specified hours.
The administration has assured that updates will be communicated in real-time, and essential services will remain in close coordination with law enforcement agencies to handle emergencies.
